The Clinical Negligence Team Leader will play a pivotal role in guiding, inspiring and shaping the success of our Clinical Negligence department. You will lead a dedicated team of legal professionals, ensuring we consistently meet client needs while upholding Fletchers’ commitment to excellence. As Team Leader, you’ll mentor colleagues, foster a collaborative culture, and drive high-quality outcomes for our clients.
Main Responsibilities
- Strategy & Execution
- Implement departmental plans within the team to deliver Fletchers’ strategic priorities.
- Ensure the delivery of outstanding customer service.
- Achieve agreed team performance targets.
- Deliver on the objectives set out in “The Pitch”.
- Support the budgeting process for the Clinical Negligence department.
- Oversee high-quality case planning, file management, and ESD management to support financial forecasting and budget delivery.
- Leadership & Management
- Lead, manage and support the Clinical Negligence team.
- Coach and develop team members, promoting continuous learning and growth.
- Model strong management behaviours.
- Foster a “cradle to grave” working culture where lawyers are continually developing and reaching their full potential.
- Technical
- Provide expert advice and guidance on all Clinical Negligence matters.
- Ensure cases progress efficiently and client satisfaction remains at the forefront.
- Collaborate with Heads of Department to maintain high-quality, compliant legal services with exceptional customer care.
- KPIs / Outcome Measures / Fees / Work Done / plus more.
- Provides a service to our customers and receives support from our wider teams.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Proven experience leading or managing within a Clinical Negligence team.
- A strong background handling a wide range of Clinical Negligence claims.
- A commitment to exceptional client service.
- An understanding of how to drive team productivity and performance.
- Experience coaching and developing others.
- The ability to model effective, people-focused leadership.
- Strong technology skills with the ability to use digital tools to enhance legal services.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
