New Acquisitions Administrator

Location- We are predominantly based in the North West of England, with offices in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Bolton & Southport, as well as a team in Cambridge. Fletchers Solicitors Ltd have a fantastic opportunity to join our growing New Acquisitions team.

The role will be to help Fletchers achieve its strategic goals through delivery of business acquisitions and integrations. The New Acquisitions Administrator will be responsible for supporting the M&A team during the Integration phases of the acquisition including pre-sign planning, pre-completion delivery and all post completion steps to integrate the acquired business.

The Administrator will support in the design and delivery of multiple business acquisitions working in a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the M&A portfolio.  The New Acquisitions Administrator will have a strong delivery focus, excel at working at pace and enjoy getting into business content and detail to build a strong functional understanding to enable best in class integration outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the M&A Integration team with end-to-end delivery of M&A projects including due diligence, pre-sign activities, pre completion activities, integration steps and post integration deliverables
  • Assist the M&A team with scheduling and organising workstream and project meetings
  • Attend M&A workstream and project meetings and document outputs in minutes to be circulated at an Exec level
  • Manage Non-Disclosure Agreement list to ensure that all appropriate business stakeholders are signed up to the relevant project NDA at the appropriate time under guidance from M&A Leads
  • Assist with the management of the risk log ensuring that risks which are raised are tracked and mitigated reporting back to the M&A Leads
  • Support Project Managers with the management and storage of project documents within relevant Teams folders
  • Proactively chase up Project Stakeholders for responses on outstanding project activities
  • Assist with collating colleague data to feed into training activities
  • Format presentations and Word documents into the Fletchers style
  • Support the Project Managers and M&A Leads to assess and apply the most appropriate project management / delivery practices to enable the strongest outcomes
  • Support Project Sponsors, PM’s, Business Analysts, and key business stakeholders to help define a project’s objectives, scope and desired outcomes
  • Support HR Business Partners with M&A People activity to include; management of HR activity logs, arranging 121’s, new colleague onboarding, and admin to support colleague engagement events
  • Work collaboratively with the M&A leadership team to help document the acquisition communication and change plans
  • Support Project Managers with documenting resource planning against key projects
  • Support with preparation of Project Steering Committees documenting outputs
  • Conduct all project administration in line with established PMO standards, including preparing and presenting project documentation and reporting to feed appropriate governance forums
  • Support with tracking of project spend across the M&A activities
  • Support with documentation of engagement plans and collaborative ways of working treating all information in the strictest of confidence

Essential Skills and Experience: 

  • Demonstrable experience of working on project administration and support to Project Managers and Business Stakeholders from definition through to successful completion
  • Experience of working in projects using both Agile and Waterfall and/or hybrid techniques
  • Strong analytical skill set, able to assess and interpret complex data
  • Proven use of change management techniques
  • Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
